I have no idea if the reveal was a shock to anyone. There's a difficult balance between foreshadowing, hyping, and completely telegraphing a plot point. But also I wasn't interested in introducing "new" characters this far into the comic, so maybe it was obvious. I dunno.

I think Melissa's language in the last panel was warranted.
